Description
Saskatchewan Trade & Export Partnership (STEP) is Saskatchewan's export development agency, helping companies expand into international markets through export development, trade missions, business matchmaking, and strategic partnerships.

At MSPO 2026, STEP is leading Saskatchewan's participation within the Prairies Defence Hub, connecting international defence primes, government buyers, NATO allies, and allied organizations with innovative Canadian suppliers and technologies.

Saskatchewan's delegation represents a diverse cross-section of Canada's defence and security ecosystem, with capabilities spanning advanced manufacturing, precision machining, CNC machining, metal fabrication, engineering, mobility and armoured vehicle solutions, hydraulics, high-pressure manufacturing systems, unmanned aerial systems (UAS), autonomous technologies, environmental sensing, secure infrastructure, Secure Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) construction, software, professional services, Indigenous defence capabilities, and applied research. The delegation also includes research and innovation organizations supporting technology development, testing, validation, and commercialization, including a Canadian NATO DIANA Test Centre focused on advancing dual-use technologies for allied defence and security applications.

The Saskatchewan delegation supports defence OEMs and global supply chains with expertise in manufacturing, machining, welding, engineering, military mobility, secure infrastructure, environmental monitoring, autonomous systems, research, testing, and technology commercialization. Saskatchewan companies collaborate with defence primes, government agencies, academia, and industry partners to develop innovative solutions that strengthen defence capabilities and support long-term industrial partnerships.

STEP works closely with industry, government, academia, and international partners to facilitate business-to-business and business-to-government meetings, strengthen resilient supply chains, support Industrial and Technological Benefits (ITB) partnerships, and connect global defence organizations with trusted Canadian suppliers. Whether organizations are seeking manufacturing partners, innovative technologies, research expertise, or supply chain solutions, STEP helps identify qualified Saskatchewan companies and facilitates introductions that support long-term collaboration with NATO and allied defence and security partners.
