Description
One of the company's key areas of expertise is counter-drone technology. PTASHKA DRONES has developed a family of net-launching systems designed to intercept hostile UAVs. These solutions can be integrated with FPV drones, DJI Mavic platforms, and other small unmanned aircraft, providing flexible options for countering aerial threats.
Every product is developed in close cooperation with military operators. Continuous feedback from the battlefield is used to improve reliability, ergonomics, and operational effectiveness. This approach led to the development of the upgraded Handheld system “Net Launcher Ptashka”, featuring faster reloading, improved ergonomics, and enhanced modularity.
Another strategic direction is the development of fiber-optic controlled strike drone systems. PTASHKA DRONES is also investing in its own fiber-optic production and winding technologies, strengthening domestic technological capabilities and supporting the development of independent Ukrainian defense manufacturing.
Beyond product development, the company contributes to the training of specialists by organizing practical FPV engineering and drone operator courses. These programs are designed to address the rapidly evolving requirements of modern warfare.
The company's representatives consistently emphasize rapid adaptation, continuous innovation, and close collaboration with end users as the foundation of their engineering philosophy. Their objective is to shorten the path from engineering concept to operational deployment, ensuring that new technologies can quickly respond to emerging battlefield challenges.
At MSPO 2026, PTASHKA DRONES presents its latest developments in unmanned systems and counter-UAS technologies, demonstrating practical solutions created in response to the real operational needs of modern armed forces.
Products
Structurally, the system consists of the following primary components:
• Barrel assembly and trigger mechanism: An ergonomic pistol-like grip featuring a trigger mechanism, a manual safety lever, an integrated Picatinny rail on top, and an cartridge extracting tool – ramrod, hidden inside of the pistol grip, which is used for maintenance and cartridge case extraction.
• Disposable net cartridge: A disposable container with a textile net (3.7 × 3.7 meters) packed in a certain way, launching weights (sinkers) around the perimeter, and a propellant powder charge.
• Quick-release attachment element: A bayonet coupling designed for the instantaneous securing of the cartridge onto the barrel assembly, neutralizing the need for time-consuming screwing.
• Gas distribution system: The engineering principle of the gas distribution system is based on the laws of applied gas dynamics and the conversion of the chemical energy of gunpowder into the kinetic energy of directional body movement.
The UAV features a reinforced 17-inch X-frame made of T700/T800 carbon fiber and STEF-1 fiberglass laminate, with IP54 protection against dust and water. It is powered by four 5220 500KV brushless motors, a 4-in-1 80–100A ESC, and a 50,000 mAh (2×8S5P) Li-Ion/Li-Po battery.
The fiber-optic system uses a 50 km single-mode cable with WDM technology, providing bidirectional data transmission over a single fiber at speeds exceeding 1 Gbps and delivering stable, zero-latency 1080p/60 FPS video.
The UAV carries payloads up to 3.5 kg (recommended 1.0–1.5 kg for maximum range). Navigation relies on an inertial system and optical flow sensors, eliminating dependence on GPS and ensuring resistance to spoofing and jamming.
