Polish Foundrymen’s Association (STOP) is a non-governmental organization with an established position in the foundry industry in Poland. It currently associates over 60 companies operating in the foundry sector, including both foundries and companies providing services and supplying technologies, materials and components for this industry. STOP bases its activities on a wide base of individual members - specialists, engineers, scientists associated with the foundry industry and scientific and research units in Poland. The association is an active member of the World Foundry Organization (WFO), which allows it to represent Polish foundry industry in the international arena and undertake initiatives with a global reach. The main goal of STOP is to support and promote the domestic foundry industry both on the domestic and foreign markets, as well as to develop cooperation with companies in various areas of technical, scientific and organizational activities. STOP has many years of experience in organizing scientific and technical conferences, actively participates in industry events and fairs dedicated to the foundry industry. It also carries out educational activities by conducting specialist technical training and publishing the only industry magazine in Poland, „Przegląd Odlewnictwa”. STOP also includes the Experts’ Team - a team of experts and industry specialists who conduct expert, opinion-giving and advisory activities.
