Łukasiewicz – Poznań Institute of Technology is a modern research and development center that combines engineering expertise and scientific experience to solve complex technological challenges.
We support enterprises in creating innovative products, processes, and materials that are applied across key sectors of the economy. We cooperate with entities in the defense sector, including companies from the Polish Armaments Group and institutions under the Ministry of National Defence. We have carried out strategically important projects for industrial plants and research institutes.

We specialize in the design and manufacture of advanced engineering and functional materials. Our portfolio includes, among others:
· Shaped charge liners with flawless surfaces for armour-piercing projectiles and grenade launchers,
· Precise and durable cartridge cases,
· Lightweight wire bearings for combat vehicles,
· Ultra-light structural panels replacing heavy welded steel constructions.

Our laboratories conduct advanced material research, including:
· X-ray diffraction (XRD, GIXRD),
· Friction and wear analyses at temperatures up to 700°C,
· Biotribological testing,
· Adhesion and corrosion resistance tests.
We are also developing technologies such as:
· Spark Plasma Sintering (SPS),
· High-Energy Ball Milling (HEBM),
· Mechanical synthesis,
· Innovative coating deposition using the Vacuum Cold Spray method.

We are also committed to environmental protection. We have developed patented methods of bioremediation and phytoremediation of soils contaminated with petroleum derivatives, heavy metals, or creosote oil. These technologies are successfully applied in post-military, railway, and industrial areas.

Łukasiewicz – PIT holds a license for the production and trade of ammunition, as well as military and police-dedicated products and technologies (No. B-072/2016). We also operate a classified information office, enabling us to carry out projects that require the highest standards of information security.
