PZL Defence S.A. is a modern technology company established in response to the growing demand for national security and the dynamic development of unmanned systems. The company focuses on the development and production of a wide range of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) – including civilian drones, as well as military-grade UAV systems (both fixed-wing and rotary-wing platforms), and counter-UAV technologies designed to protect critical infrastructure, military installations, and urban environments.

Phased Development Strategy

The company’s growth is structured in two key phases:
• Phase one involves the launch of civilian drone production at the facility in Sędziszów Małopolski, alongside the development of internal structures and technical teams in preparation for further scale-up.
• Phase two will focus on the production of combat UAVs and counter-drone systems for the defense sector, to be implemented after obtaining a dedicated license from the Polish Ministry of the Interior and Administration (MSWiA) for the manufacture of military equipment.

Location and Infrastructure
PZL Defence S.A. operates within the existing infrastructure of PZL Sędziszów – a renowned Polish manufacturer with more than 85 years of experience, including supplying key components for Rosomak armored vehicles and Leonardo helicopters. The company leverages modern production, technology, and R&D facilities, enabling rapid prototyping and deployment of advanced unmanned systems.

Expertise and International Cooperation
The company’s engineering teams consist of Polish and Ukrainian experts with practical experience in designing, testing, and deploying UAV systems.

Counter-Drone Capabilities
In response to the increasing threat posed by both commercial and military drones, PZL Defence is developing proprietary counter-UAV systems. These include integrated solutions for drone detection, identification, disruption, and neutralization, for use in both civilian and defense applications.
