Warsaw University of Technology is one of the top universities in Poland, bringing together over 20,000 students and 5,000 staff members. The unit of Warsaw University of Technology responsible for commercializing the intellectual property of its students and employees, as well as supporting them in establishing and growing their own businesses, is the Center for Innovation.

In recent years, there has been a clear increase in interest from companies in solutions developed at WUT, which has translated into growing commercialization revenue dynamics.

Warsaw University of Technology also aspires to be a significant center for the development of technical thought in the areas of security and defense, continuing its long-standing academic tradition in this domain. Work in this field is coordinated by the University Research Centre for Defence and Security.
