GISS Sp. z o.o. operates on the Polish and foreign markets for over 12 years. The main areas of its activity are connected with satellite communication (production of Cobalt and Opuncja Manpack satellite terminals, mobile Fly Away as well as mobile and ground stations), training support systems (Shooting House systems, system of reactive pneumatic targets, Shelter based shooting ranges), dual-use equipment (equipment dedicated for the army, police and other uniformed formations), air navigation – ATC (radar systems, WAM/MLAT, ILS/DME/DVOR) and system integration. The company offers a number of own solutions as well as products of foreign partners.
GISS is one of the country's leading suppliers of ballistic systems. Our leading productions include: CQBHouse shooting ranges, container shooting ranges, reactive and electric shooting range systems, as well as shooting range equipment such as anti-ricochet panels, ballistic blocks or mobile bullet traps.
In the field of satellite communication systems, the Company since 2015 continuously works within the scope of design, production and integration of satellite communication systems, providing comprehensive solutions tailored to user needs. Our portfolio contains Manpack systems (backpack transportable), headed by the flagship SatPack COBALT terminal, FlyAway systems (transportable) with an automatic pointing system, like our SMART and AutoMate, as well as communication vehicles (OTP/OTM) and HUB/MASTER stations. In 2021, it expanded its operations to include the GISS Satellite Technology Research and Development Center Sp. z o.o. located in Nowy Konik near Warsaw. Currently, the Center is conducting research and development work, including on a multi-orbital satellite terminal (a project under the NCBiR PERUN program).
With the middle of 2024, GISS has expanded its service offerings to include state-of-the-art metal 3D printing. With advanced technology (SLM) and a state-of-the-art SLM 280 2.0 printer, we are able to provide services to create high-quality metal components from a variety of metal alloys, focusing on production from aluminum. Our offer is aimed at companies in various sectors, including the defense, automotive, space and aviation industries.
In cooperation with its partners, GISS has delivered numerous air traffic control systems, such as radar systems, multilateration systems (MLAT and WAM), ADS-B, ILS, DME, and ATC simulators. In the area of equipment used by the Polish Armed Forces, public safety institutions, crisis management authorities and air traffic control services, we also offer solutions such as: active radars, precision approach radars (PAR), passive surveillance systems (VERA-NG, PLESS), multilateration systems (MLAT) and air traffic management systems.
