Description
Elsight’s Halo connectivity platform provides spectrum superiority and secured Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) communications for unmanned aerial and ground vehicles (UAVs and UGVs). Halo aggregates all available communication links, including LTE/5G, SATCOM, and P2P/MANET into a single bonded data pipeline. This capability ensures uninterrupted connectivity for mobile SOF units and their unmanned platforms by removing reliance on any one network, enhancing operational effectiveness in contested, GPS-/comms-denied, and expeditionary environments.
Halo uses intelligent bonding technology that splits data into AES-256-CBC encrypted packets and transmits them simultaneously across all available networks. These packets are reassembled at the destination through secure VPN tunneling, maintaining both security and redundancy. The system automatically routes traffic based on real-time link performance and provides seamless transitions between networks without drops by using a logical connectivity layer.
With a compact portable size of under 100 grams, 6.5-watt power consumption, and an operating range from -40°C to 85°C, Halo integrates modems, GPS, WiFi/Bluetooth, serial interfaces, and offers remote management, predictive analytics, and 3D network coverage tools.
Elsight's Halo distinguishes itself from other communication solutions through its ability to simultaneously bond multiple heterogeneous networks, including cellular, SATCOM, and P2P/MANET into a single, seamless, always-on connection. Unlike traditional single-link or failover systems that switch networks only after failure and cause communication drops and latency, Halo maintains uninterrupted connectivity across all channels with real-time handoff at the packet level.
Elsight Halo is deployed in areas of conflict and in commercial deployments around the world.
