International Drone Event - The World of Measurements
About the event
UAV's in the world of measurements and more - ample of discussion at the conference and exhibition
The International Drone Event - World of Measurements at the Targi Kielce Congress Centre goes down in history! The meeting generated an avid interest and brought together a plethora of participants.
UAVs are used to search for missing persons, a robotic dog for measurements, drone technologies for every farmer and solutions for creating computer games - these are some of the technologies presented at the conference and exhibition. The International Drone Event- World of Measurements was held on 24 and 25 November at the Targi Kielce Congress Centre.
UAV in every area of life
The Targi Kielce’s International Drone Event-the World of Measurements meeting participants had a chance to learn about the wide-range application of unmanned vehicles in such industries as geodesy, aviation, agriculture, forestry, as well as in the construction industry. The importance of modern UAV techniques in cutting-edge developments was discussed by prof. President of the Central Office of Measures - Professor Jacek Semaniak
- It is hard to imagine the modern world without the use of modern UAV techniques; UAV have practically been present in every aspect of our lives. Agriculture, broadly defined photogrammetry, road condition monitoring, the power grid condition supervision and making geodetic measurements, to name just a few. I am glad that the UAV expo has again been held in Targi Kielce because the UAV sector keeps developing. We need to make sure that not only drone technology can develop. Also all measurement techniques attached to drones should be reliable and yeild exact measurements - emphasised Professor Jacek Semaniak.
UAV industry - knowledge-packed sessions at the IDE-World of Measurements conference
The speakers’ list of the two-day conference included: representatives of the Polish Air Navigation Services Agency, the Civil Aviation Authority, the Polish Investment and Geodetic Consortium, the Centre for Science and Technology of Unmanned Systems, the Kielce University of Technology, as well as representatives of companies specialising in ground-breaking drone technologies. The lecture presented the legal issues of UAV use in the economy. Applicable legal regulations regarding UAVs were indicated, and the use of drones in construction, agriculture and forestry as well as in archaeology. It was possible to find out how to use UAV in searching for missing persons and as a tool for streaming.
Drones - the future of land surveying
Uncrewed aerial vehicles are used for a variety of tasks. They offer important technological support in land surveying. The experts at the International Drone Event shared their knowledge on the law, measurement methods and the use of drones for field work. The IDE-World of Measurements conference was the presentation platform for an autonomous and versatile mobile scanner offered by Emesent Hovermap. The scanner enables quick and simple data collection both in the air and on the ground. The meeting also discussed the LiDAR technology, which offers the visualisation possibility. The conference participants were offered the chance to learn about latest and most advanced UAV solutions in the market and used for land surveying. UAV with specialised sensors from the world leader - e.g. DJI Enterprise, LiDAR solutions and multi-lens cameras for special tasks from Share and much more.
IDE exhibition - the World of Measurements - the most modern drone equipment and solutions
The exhibition complemented the International Drone Event – World of Measurements conference at the Targi Kielce Congress Centre. The leading companies from the industry presented their products and services, including RIEGL / Laser-3D.pl, TPI Sp. z o. o., NaviGate – Drone Centre, and Geotronics Dystribution. The Geotronics Distribution expo stand, was the showcase for the Spot robotic dog that has proven helpful in the measurements domain. The display included the latest UAV models used in geodesy and agriculture presented by TPI. RIEGL /Laser 3D.pl presented the 3D laser mapping technology, and the latest and most advanced UAV solutions available in the market - these were proudly presented by NaviGate - Drone Center. The Marshal's Office of the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship’s expo stand offered consultations - this was the place to learn about European Funds and subsidies for modern technologies and technological solutions.
The event was held under the honorary patronage of the Central Office of Measures, and the Association of Polish Surveyors was the Knowledge Partner of the event. The media partners of the event were: the World of UAV portal, the Eye of and UAV, Geoforum and Gisplay.pl portals.
