You will get #farther #sooner # easier when using an e-bike! The second edition of the Bicycle Revolution - the educational campaign - has started

25 may 2022
Consumer research, articles, a webinar, social media activities and a movie - this is how the Polish Cycling Association persuades Poles that it is worth switching to bicycles, especially electric onee. All for health and better well-being.

Especially worth considering in times of expensive fuel. An ad spot has premiered today as a part of the new "Bicycle Revolution" edition - the educational campaign. The clip features two satisfied cyclists presenting the advantages and plusses of e-bikes. One of the benefits is the reduction of household expenses on transport and mobility -  60% of the participants of the study conducted as part of the "Bicycle Revolution" agreed with this statement. The campaign managed by PSR continues until August.

The authors of the new edition of the "Bicycle Revolution" educational campaign argue that by focusing on "electric bikes," we care for health. Also, we travel #farther, #quicker and # easier. As part of the campaign, the Polish Cycling Association carried out a survey on "Use of electric bikes and shopping preferences" and presented a promotional spot related to the campaign. A humorous film features two cyclists showing the advantages of electric bikes and explaining how this equipment differs from a traditional two-wheeler. The video authors also pay attention to the economic aspects and potential savings that e-bikes can bring to car users. The campaign is educational in nature. The campaign creators hope that they will persuade Poles to choose a healthy, economic and ecological means of transport.

- The idea behind the "Bicycle Revolution" is to persuade Poles that an electric bicycle is a good choice - both because it generates savings and has a positive effect on health - says Mateusz Pytko, Director of the Office of the Polish Cycling Association. - E-bikes, like all other two-wheelers, help in taking care of well-being and physical fitness. They do not work instead of the users, do not exclude physical effort, but support and allow bikers to go further, at greater speeds and in easier mode.

Poles appreciate the benefits of electric bikes

The latest study by the Polish Cycling Association confirms the experts' observations - Poles have been convinced to use electric bikes. As many as 63% of respondents believe that e-bikes facilitate commuting, and 62% believe that they can help with everyday shopping. The respondents also paid attention to economic aspects. One in two respondents admitted that due to the rising fuel prices, they would like to use an e-bike,  as an "electric" would also reduce household expenses on transport and mobility. 60% of the respondents agreed with this statement. Considering the purchase and operation cost, a vast majority of respondents (70%) suggested that an electric bicycle purchase is more economical than buying a car. 4 out of 10 respondents admitted that they are considering purchasing an e-bike for themselves or a family member in the next 6 - 12 months.

Ecological and economical, functional and comfortable

The reasons for the high interest in electric bikes can be related to many benefits users can count on -  practical and comfortable e-bikes may replace the car as a means of transport for commuters. The two-wheeler provides greater flexibility and allows to save time by avoiding traffic jams or overcrowded parking lots. And electric boost allows bikers reach their destination without unnecessary fatigue.

There is an uptrend in cargo e-bikes - these are also chosen by delivery companies. Logistic, economic and environmental aspects are accounted for -  as e-bikes offer an ideal solution for the courier industry. The so-called last-mile delivery has now found the solution. The electric cargo bikes can reach the destination, which is extremely important with today's traffic restrictions in city centres. In many European cities, electric bikes have become a very important element of urban transport. Crowded streets and neighbourhoods are more accessible and friendly to pedestrians. E-bikes are also a good option for all those who attach great importance to the environment;  a zero-emission and environmentally friendly powered two-wheeler may become a key means of transport in the near future.

The concept of the campaign was prepared by the WebTalk digital agency, Fresh Multimedia was responsible for the spot production, while the Prepare Agency was responsible for communication activities.

The study commissioned by the Polish Cycling Association was carried out by the SW Research studio -  online interviews were carried out on a representative group of Poles in May. The survey's age group was 25-55, residents of cities of various sizes.
