TRANSEXPO - UITP

The business sector of public transport is the subject to continuous changes. Long and short term development strategies are being now implemented. The transformations are designed to deliver high quality projects beneficial to all market players, including the UITP. Poland’s public transport is evolving at a breath-taking pace. A meeting of Polish members of this prestigious international organisation is to be held within the framework of the Kielce’s TRANSEXPO; it has been designed to continue and expand cooperation with Poland’s key companies and business sector institutions.

Union Internationale des Transports Publics is the international network for public transport authorities and operators, policy decision-makers, scientific institutes and the public transport supply and service industry. It is a platform for worldwide cooperation, business development and the sharing of know-how between its 3,400 members from 92 countries. UITP is the global advocate of public transport and sustainable mobility, and the promoter of innovations in the sector.

Polish UIPT members group comprises the market leaders such as public transport operators form Warsaw, Warsaw, Poznan, Krakow or Piła, the management boards Gdynia or Bialystok as well as suppliers; Solaris, PESA, MEDCOM et al. It comes as no surprise that the meeting is held mid-September as a part of the International Fair of Public Transport TRANSEXPO organised in Kielce. This is the largest buss-sector expo in this part of Europe. TRANSEXPO fair is the showcase for vehicles used for city and city suburbs transport complemented with tourist cars, special purpose and utility vehicles, as well as the new generation autos; not only do they guarantee top quality comfort for the users but, first and foremost, ensure passengers’ safety. The exhibition stands will be the display of specialised equipment abundance and innovative vehicles.
