This year's PLASTPOL is a true knowledge-mine

09 march 2020
The Cluster of Waste Management and Recycling - The National Key Cluster holds the "Packaging for recycling conference - the session is a part of the PLASTPOL programme. Good examples in a circular economy. "

Without eco-design , packaging can be recycled and reused - raw materials return to the production cycle, nothing gets waste. No eco-deign means that packaging lands in a landfill.  The many activities designed to switch to the circular economy model. The idea of eco-design is an important element of the whole movement.  In relation to packaging, circular economy means limiting environmental impacts at all stages of the product life cycle while maintaining the packaging function for distribution and utilisation phase of life.

The recyclers openness to share knowledge gained through many years’ experience in managing packaging waste, recirculates-based resources is an indispensable value. Producers and packaging manufacturers do recognise the expertise.  Each value chain link is important - . the conference "Packaging for recycling.  Good examples in a circular economy." focuses upon that.  The conference’s main objective to disseminate good examples and to show the possibilities of combining various types of materials in order to make them recyclable. Technological, technical and economic barriers will also be signalled. The event is held on 20 May.  There is abundance of innovations in packaging and packaging recycling. Often, the economic barriers are stop implementation. However, smaller and larger raw material cycles are to be closed. This is primarily beneficial for the environment.
