The SMARTSHOOTER SMASH HOPPER LRCWS integrated with the RPS-42 MHR radar is another novelty showcased and presented at the MILDAT expo stand at the International Defence Industry Exhibition

SMARTSHOOTER develops state-of-the-art Fire Control Systems that significantly increase weapon accuracy and lethality; they deliver real-time situational awareness while minimizing friendly casualties and collateral damage.  SMARTSHOOTER is the manufacturer of the SMASH 2000L system used by the United States Marine Corps and the Hopper Light remotely controlled weapon station integrated with the DRS/RADA Technologies MHR radar.

The SMASH 2000L is a lightweight, rifle-mounted optical fire control system that provides the user with unprecedented accuracy when combating water, ground and air targets. This system is now used by the Marines in anti-drone operations (C-UAS). The Hopper is a lightweight Remotely Controlled Weapons Station (LRCWS) that uses the same fire control technology as the 2000L, but can be mounted as a remotely controlled system on a variety of manned and unmanned platforms, providing precise and effective fire from a safe distance. DRS MHR is a terrestrial, multi-role radar used for anti-drone activities, very short range air defence (VSHORAD), anti-missile, anti-artillery and mortar (C-RAM) combat.

SMASH Hopper LRCWS and DRS MHR radar provide a comprehensive anti-drone solution that shortens the sensor-gunner cycle.  The RPS-42 detection and tracking capabilities allow the destruction of targets from a safe distance, and the high hit probability of the SMASH Hopper LRCWS guarantees precise and quick threat elimination.

The joint solution has undergone a series of successful tests and has proven ideal for use by the US Marine Corps in the MADIS system.

“The integration of our Hopper with the RPS-42 radar provides a highly effective end-to-end drone neutralization solution, ensuring the protection of personnel and critical assets  by shortening the sensor to gunner cycle. This advanced solution increases situational awareness and survivability of forces and takes air defence to a new level.” - Michal Mor, CEO of SMARTSHOOTER

Deployed and proven by various armed forces around the world. SMASH is a fire control system (FCS) equipped with an integrated computer for complex aiming tasks. Once the user has identified a target (either on their own or through the detection system) and locks onto it, SMASH tracks the target movements and synchronizes the shot to ensure a quick and precise hit on the target.

The SMASH family of systems uses AI (artificial intelligence), computer vision, and advanced algorithms to ensure precise hits, increase force effectiveness and situational awareness, and reduce collateral damage. SMASH enables the platoon’s intelligence, boosts precission and connectivity.

SMARTSHOOTER is represented in Poland by MILDAT LLC.  Solutions from the SMASH family will be demonstrated at expo stand B-73.
