The medical equipment transported out of the Targi Kielce premisses

The Temporary Hospital at Targi Kielce has been officially closed. The medical equipment is now being transported to other hospitals in Świętokrzyskie; the works will continue until the end of the week.

The provincial authorities admitted that the decision to install the Temporary Hospital in Targi Kielce was a quick response to the situation;  the Voivode of Świętokrzyskie Province, Zbigniew Koniusz, noted that the medical staff described the unit as a very well organised one.

- Targi Kielce also rose to the occasion. The expo centre offered us the facilities we demanded. We have succeeded to install 300 beds, including all infrastructure needed for patient’s hospital stay - says the voivode, Zbigniew Koniusz. - The hospital was much more than the medical infrastructure,  but also back facilities with toilets, showers and office infrastructure.

The Temporary Hospital in Targi Kielce was commissioned on 4 December 2020 and became operational in March 2021. During the two months’ operation of the temporary hospital used forty-five thousand kilograms of oxygen for over 200 people hospitalised there. The last patient was discharged from the facility on 31 May.

A total of almost PLN 18 million was spent on equipping the Temporary Hospital at Targi Kielce.
