The future-looking initiative
This convention is the Mayor of Kielce initiative, in cooperation with the European Commission. The conference focuses on European funds for the years 2021-2027 and issues related to the Reconstruction Fund and the Just Transition Fund.
- The conference offers the opportunity to become acquainted with the European Union's new objective as well as to analyse Polish cities' needs adjustment so that they can develop in the best possible way. This is designed to improve their inhabitants quality of life - informs the Mayor of Kielce, Bogdan Wenta. - We want to make the best and most appropriate use of the funds for ecological transformation. This will result in a radical reduction of carbon dioxide emissions to the atmosphere - explains the initiator of the project.
The guests' list includes Marek Prawda - Ambassador of the Republic of Poland, director of the Representation of the European Commission in Poland and Jan Olbrycht - Member of the European Parliament, member of the Commission for Budget and a negotiator on behalf of the European Parliament of the Multiannual Financial Framework for 2021-2027. Local government officials from all over Poland will also take part in the meeting.

The meeting will be held at the Targi Kielce Congress Centre, the necessary safety rules in place. The guests are obliged to comply with the sanitary regime and observe the obligation to cover the nose and mouth, fill in an epidemiological questionnaire and to keep the social distance.

The future of the exhibition industry
The meetings industry will be in focus in the second part of the conference - this business sector also needs proper dialogue and talks about the future. The meeting brings together representatives of trade fair centres from all over Poland, including Tomasz Kobierski, President of the Council of the Polish Chamber of Exhibition Industry, President of the Management Board of MTP Group, Grażyna Grabowska, Vice-President of the Polish Chamber of Exhibition Industry, President of the Management Board of Krakow Expo Centre, and Andrzej Mochoń PhD., Vice-President of the Council of the Polish Chamber of Exhibition Industry, President of the Management Board of Targi Kielce. City representatives were also invited to talk shop, and among them: Jacek Karnowski, Mayor of Sopot as well as Zygmunt Frankiewicz Vice-Mayor of Poznań and the president of the Polish Cities Association.
The participants will discuss the crisis situation in which the trade fair industry is now facing and the dangers related to expo dates change or cancellation. They also emphasise the individual exhibition centres' importance and significance as well as their impact on the local and national economy. The result of the meeting will be a joint letter with postulates addressed to the Prime Minister.
