The Expo opening with the President Bronisław Komorowski
- Congratulations on the advancement, on your consequence and the results – this is how the Republic of Poland President Bronisław Komorowski addressed the guests gathered at the 21st MSPO Expo – I do remember the first show and I compare the way we all have gone along. In my opinion it is a success of Poland’s defence industry, the State of Poland and international cooperation.
During his meeting with the press, the Republic of Poland President highlighted the fact that the number of companies which put their products and services on display fills with optimism. It also demonstrates the fact, that despite European economic downturn, Polish defence industry sector has not been negatively impacted.
The Opening Ceremony was held in the Omega Hall of the new Targi Kielce’s Congress Centre. It brought together representatives of the government, foreign delegations and exhibitors. This years event is the showcase for 400 companies from 24 countries. Turkey is the 2013 MSPO’s highlight. Turkish presence at the MSPO marks the 90th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Poland and the Republic of Turkey as well as the 2014’s 600th jubilee of diplomatic relations development between our country and the Ottoman Empire. Targi Kielce has also enjoyed the presence of the Turkish Metheran Company. The expo also hosts the Turkish Minister of Defence Ismet Yilmaz. The Minister expressed his admiration for the Kielce’s expo as well as informed that his country is ready for international cooperation in the industry sector.
The expo is open for visitors from 2nd to 5th September from 10 to 17.
The Expo has been granted the honorary patronage of the President of the Republic of Poland Mr Bronisław Komorowski.
