Targi Kielce sponsors the Korona Kielce Club

On Wednesday, 30 November 2022, Targi Kielce signed the sponsorship agreement with Korona SA; the agreement appointed the Korona Kielce Club sponsor. According to the document, the Kielce exhibition and congress centre is one of the sponsors of the Club until the end of 2023.

Thus, the expos organiser, a company owned by the city, fulfils the tasks resulting from corporate social responsibility as well as promotion through sport. The decision to choose this form of image and brand building and reaching customers’ target groups was the result of both the assessment of benefits and the opinions of both members of the sports committee of the City of Kielce and the city councillors expressing the voice of public opinion. 

This is not the first time Targi Kielce has supported sport, gaining marketing benefits in return/ This activity results in increased brand recognition, and fulfilment of the tasks from CSR domain. In previous years, the company was already a sponsor of the handball team whose name was Vive Targi Kielce; not only has the name been remembered by the fans many years after the xpoe centre discontinued its title sponsorship of the Club. In the past, Targi Kielce also supported Korona, using the opportunities to promote the centre among football enthusiasts. For years, the company has supports many projects in the city, including sports, ranging from school tournaments, through charity, to Special Olympics. Targi Kielce has been a permanent sponsor of the latter since 2009.

The effectiveness of these campaigns, not only promotional and CSR, has been evidenced by the company’s results. For 10 years  Targi Kielce is ranked second among Central and Eastern Europe's trade fair and expo organisers in different parameters categories; with regards to the number of exhibitors and exhibition space leased.  In many aspects, the Kielce expo centre is ranked number one not only in the country, but also among the leading centres one in Europe. The International Fair of Plastics and Rubber Processing Plastpol has occupied the first place in terms of the number of foreign exhibitors, the International Fair of Agricultural Machinery Agrotech is the largest exhibition in the country among all industry expos held in expo halls, Enex - the International Fair of Renewable Sources of Energy is the largest expo in Poland, and the International Defence Industry Exhibition is the third largest defence industry exhibition in Europe ranked after Paris and London.

Every year, events organised in Targi Kielce attract hundreds of thousands of business people to Kielce. In 2022 alone, over 310,000 visitors have visited the city's fair events.  Despite the difficult pandemic years, Targi Kielce was the only organiser in the world to hold expos in 2020 and in 2021. Owing to the determination of both employees and many other people supporting the expo centre, Targi Kielce managed to hold the defence industry show as well as many other exhibitions. The company’s activities contribute to the development of the city and the region;  the Targi Kielce’s customers use many services in the City, ranging from hotel, through construction services of expo stands, catering to advertising and transport. These measures effectively support local businesses. The expo centre also contributes to the city's coffers through the real estate tax, which in 2022 amounted to PLN 2 million 336 thousand.

In order to run a business, at least at the current level, generate profits and meet the expectations of customers, investments are necessary;  in 2023, the investment scheme is estimated to amount to PLN 23 million. The projects pool includes a repair of leaking roofs on the expo halls, adapting one of them is to be equipped with a photovoltaic installation. The PV pannels set is purchased to reduce electricity costs. The project of the Kielce exhibition and congress centre’s informatisation is also entering its third phase, which includes the construction of an access control system.

According to the Association of the German Trade Fair Industry - AUMA, exhibition organiser’s turnover in a given city generates up to seven times higher turnover of the local expo-related industry. However, the value of the Kielce exhibition and congress centre is expressed not only in money;  Targi Kielce has been building its good international-arena reputation for 30 years. Over this time we have reached the point when we are said to be one of the most recognisable brands in the Świętokrzyskie region. A good brand is an important element of the business success - Targi Kielce’s business success is always in the making.  The centre’s image is very important as it pertains to the perception of both our customers and the inhabitants of the city. Targi Kielce strives to make its brand not only a promise of high quality, image consistency, our employees’ competence and operational reliability. We wish to guarantee all these features. The company has been recognised many times for its activities. Onlu recently, Targi Kielce was a part of the competition organised by the Business Center Club. The centre received the title of "The Company with a Perfect Image" title for disseminating knowledge about corporate social responsibility and for effective methods of communicating about the company's social activities. For its contribution to the development and promotion of the Świętokrzyskie region, Targi Kielce was awarded the title of Region Leader 2022 in the Strong Brand category, too. The award is granted by the magazine "Echo Dnia".
