Targi Kielce - the presentation and promotion of non-governmental organisations’ activities

28 october 2022
- Three years ago, at the Świętokrzyskie NGOs Congress, we invented this event. And its venue - Kielce, because this city is associated with the expo - this is how Professor Piotr Gliński, Deputy Prime Minister, began his speech. - We express our gratitude for your trust. We want to stand by you in the coming years - declared Andrzej Mochoń PhD, President of the Management Board of Targi Kielce.

NGOs are the salt of democracy - underlined the Deputy Prime Minister, Prof Piotr Gliński, Chairman of the Committee for  Public Benefit. This was the highlight of the second day of the NGO-EXPO National Fair of Non-Governmental Organisations. The NGO-EXPO National Fair of Non-Governmental Organisations is organised by the Stefan Artwiński National Freedom Institute - Centre for Civil Society Development.

- Without you, we would have been poorer, and we would not have been able to cope with social challenges. You spur people to act, and you build a community - said Deputy Prime Minister Professor  Piotr Gliński. He emphasised that the preparation phase indicated the apparent venue to hold the meeting.

Wojciech Kaczmarczyk, Director of the National Freedom Institute - Centre for Civil Society Development, recalled that the first idea related to a trade fair for NGOs originated three years ago during the Świętokrzyskie Congress of NGOs. - Here, at Targi Kielce, large industry has been exhibiting for 30 years, and today their place is occupied by stands of non-governmental organisations, which are slightly less visible in the public space.  I hope that the first NGOs expo will set a trend and become a tradition of annual presentations for NGOs' achievements, activities, and methods - emphasised director Wojciech Kaczmarczyk.

- Targi Kielce has been associated with the industry, the International Defence Industry Exhibition is our "flagship", but our walls host events on various topics, including cultural ones. Krzysztof Penderecki and Ennio Morricone, Maryla Rodowicz and Perfect have performed here.  We are ready to engage in all spheres, and also as a technical partner as in the case of the Ministerial Council of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe. I would like to thank the NGO-EXPO organisers for their trust. We want to be with you in the coming years - said Andrzej Mochoń PhD., president of Targi Kielce at the official opening of the second day of the NGO-EXPO National Fair of Non-Governmental Organisations.

 - Congratulations to the organisers of this creative endeavour. Thanks on behalf of Marshal Andrzej Bętkowski and the Board of the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship for holding the event in Świętokrzyskie Province - emphasised Deputy Marshal Renata Janik.

The NGO-EXPO National Expo of Non-Governmental Organisations is designed to broaden the knowledge of non-governmental organisations and their activities. This is the platform for of experience exchange and presentation of activities. The event’s agenda includes numerous conferences, workshops and discussion panels chaired by NGO experts.
