In addition to Michael Sołowow, Wojciech Lubawski and HE Marian Florczyk Bishop of Kielce, the Targi Kielce President Andrzej Mochoń PhD is among the distingtion winners in the "Man of the 25 years" plebiscite. The Swietorkzyskie Region's inhabitants the chapter composed of "Echo Dnia" journalists have selected the people, who have acted for the benefit of our region's development in the last twenty five years.

The poll has prepared and conducted by the editors of "Echo Dnia" daily. From among the nominees the following personages have been chosen: in recognition of the services to Kielce the title has been presented to the distinguished businessman Michał Sołowow. The awards have been also bestowed on HE Bishop Marian Florczyk, the Mayor of Kielce, Wojciech Lubawski, President of Kielce Water-works Henryk Milcarz and the president of Targi Kielce Andrzej Mochon PhD.

- Congratulations to the plebiscite distinction winners; I also wish to express my gratitude to those who contributed to my success - says President Andrzej Mochoń. - There is no doubt that the inhabitants of the region and the city see me and often identify me with the Targi Kielce achievements. Thus the award serves also as a recognition for employees of the company I run; and I wish to pay kudos to all of them. With the assistance of local authorities, we have created the centre which represents a decent European level; this has been reflected in the favourable opinions of the Kielce inhabitants. The trade fair centre is the example of effective cooperation between regional authorities and large companies.

Andrzej Mochoń PhD - for over eight years now he has been the president of the board at Targi Kielce - the Świętokrzyskie region's flagship. He had also been the centre's manager for a short time in the 90s. Owing to Andrzej Mochoń's commitment and engagement, since 2006 Targi Kielce has become the second Central and Eastern Europe's most important exhibition centre which attracts visitors from 60 countries. Not only has Mr Mochon implemented the Targi Kielce investment and infrastructure modernization plan, but he has also played a key role in the whole scheme. He also organized the first expo-event in Kielce: International Defence Industry Exhibition MSPO For over twenty years the International Defence Industry Exhibition has been one of Europe's three most prestigious and largest defense industry exhibitions; it is ranked just after Paris and London. Andrzej Mochoń is the initiator of International Airshow in Radom. With Mr Mochoń acting in the capacity of its president, the Swietokrzyskie Regional Development Agency was also the organizer of the first three show's editions.

Andrzej Mochoń is a university lecturer, the deputy chairman of the Kielce University of Technology's Convention. He has also been one of the creators of the city's first private universities - today's Higher School of Public Administration. Mochoń was one of the founders of the Swietokrzyskie Regional Development Agency; with SRDA he worked for 10 years and held executive and managerial positions. Kielce Geopark has also been created with the help of Mr Mochoń. Geopark includes botanical garden located at Karczówka slope. He also participated in the preparation of Kadzielnia open-air theatre redevelopment project as well as in the scheme designed to make the cave available to visitors. He has also been involved in local initiatives; he has acted in the capacity of the Vice-President of the Regional Commission for Social Dialogue, the Chancellor of Świętokrzyskie Business Centre Club's Lodge, he is a member of the Staropolska Chamber of Industry and Commerce. Mr Mochon is also the honorary Consul of the Federal Republic of Germany in Kielce.

The Targi Kielce president's list of achievements includes numerous awards and honours, including the title of visionary awarded by the Dziennik Gazeta Prawna; Thus the Kielce expo centre development and modernization vision and vision's implementation have been recognised.
