For a number of years we have observed a rapid development of LED-technology based lighting devices designed for street lighting. LED fixtures proliferate and have thus become a popular alternative for traditional lighting fixtures. The rationale for this type of solutions lies in their energy efficiency, luminous efficacy and the possibility of intelligent street lighting management and control.

The management system, which will be put on display by APM LLC makes it possible to control individual light-sets which in due course translated into energy consumption reduction as the lights can be put into a dim mode whenever traffic is pretty light. The system collects information from the sensor and, according to the weather conditions, automatically selects the settings and controls the lighting system. The management system provides feed-back information about the light-system working times, the power power and light set failures whenever they occur. Utilisation of intelligent lighting techniques improves safety and also allows to save of up to 80% of electricity compared to traditional lighting.

This is just a sample of a whole array of innovative solutions which will be put on display at the upcoming edition of International Fair of Infrastructure, Airport Technologies and Infrastructure Exhibition TRAFFIC-EXPO - TIL.
