RECYKL Group companies collect used tires, produce rubber granules used in many areas of the economy, and also offer recycling and recovery services for used tires.

The road construction Expo welcomes RECYKL and its presentation of an additive to mineral-asphalt mixtures (MMA) - Smapol®. The additive produced in Poland from the processing of textile cords recovered in the process of recycling used tires -  tire fibres are produced by mechanical grinding and separating from the rubber. In the additive production process, a multi-fiber mixture consisting of polyester, polyamide and polypropylene fibers is optimised in terms of the content of each type of fiber, activated and modified.

SMAPOL®, compared to stabilising additives based on cellulose fiber, ensures an optimal degree of bitumen absorption, which allows ofr a lower binder content. Thus we achieve not only higher strength and deformability indicators, but also higher water resistance and frost resistance indicators of modified MMA.

SMAPOL® is the most cost-effective way to improve the physical and mechanical properties of MMA among known counterparts with a similar method of use.
