POLISH AMERICAN COOPERATION UNDER THE MK-84 PROGRAMME

More Polish TNT exported to the US - over 20,000 tons purchased by the United States by the end of 2022

The second day of the International Defence Industry Exhibition in Kielce witnessed the conference which recapitulated Polish-American cooperation. The conference was graced with the presence of the United States Ambassador Georgette Mosbacher.  TNT export to the USA was also discussed at the session.  Approximately $ 100 million explosives will be used to manufacture armaments of US military aircraft.  American-Polish cooperation under the special MK 84 United States Air Force programme has continued for 2 years.

-  The previous two-year contract, which terminates in 2019, for the supply of missiles under the MK 84 programme for the United States Air Force was successful.  Polish partners had a key contribution. thus we want to continue cooperation. By the end of 2022 we will order extra 20,000 tons of explosives - says David Dunavin from General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems.

- We have been able to create new jobs, couple it with American experience and bring it to the Polish market.   I hope to see more cooperation of this kind in the future. this alliance is extremely important, it also and strengthens cooperation between both countries. - concluded HE Georgette Mosbacher.

Explosives produced in Bydgoszcz are transported to the port of Gdansk by rail.  A single train set comprises over 70 containers. - This type of materials require strict security procedures and specific services type.  There is the maximum time of 6 hours for all containers to be loaded on the ship - says Krzysztof Pałucha from the Pol-Mare - the company responsible for logistics.

During the conference, the US Ambassador in Poland thanked the NITRO-CHEM president for the cooperation.
