Photovoltaic boom. The industry has been growing
SBF estimates that this year the capacity of approx. Two hundred fifteen thousand new micro-installations will amount to 1.5 GW, which means that the grid-connection rate is twice as high as in the previous year.
At the end of the year, the power of all photovoltaics in Poland - i.e. both small, medium and large sources, as well as those below 50 kW classified as micro-installations, will reach 3.25 GW. This means 5.19 per cent of the total capacity installed in the Polish power system. For comparison, it was 2.21 per cent at the end of 2019.
SBF estimates that in 2020, micro-installations will generate 1.5 per cent of all electricity consumed in Poland, which means an over 2-fold increase compared to 2019, when this indicator was 0.6%.
The association’s report indicates that in the first half of 2020, the share of small, medium and large PV installations in the installed capacity structure increased, as the result of the connection of solar farms from large auctions in 2018 and 2019. Their share increased from 20.9% up to 22.3 per cent during the six months.
According to SBF estimates, in 2020, the average cost of 1 kWp of PV micro-installations decreased by PLN 25 compared to 2019 and amounted to PLN 4,100 net. In the case of larger installations, the cost amounted to PLN 2,750 net.
The value of the micro-installation market in 2020 SBF estimated the market value at PLN 6 billion. Larger installations - almost PLN 1.3 billion. The Enex Expo is one of the largest trade fairs which bring together renewable energy industries. The event has been held at Targi Kielce for many years.
