The XII National Special Olympics Summer Games took place at the beginning of July 2022 in Kielce and Suchedniów bringing together over 400 contestants from all over Poland. The time was active and packed with excitement. There are competitions in many disciplines - from basketball to track and field. The finals give competitors a chance to enter the Polish Special Olympics Team for the Special Olympics World Summer Games 2023 in Berlin.

On Monday, 16 January Grzegorz Kurkowski, Regional Director of Special Olympics Poland - Świętokrzyskie, visited Targi Kielce and officially thanked the President, Andrzej Mochon PhD. for supporting the the event and handed over a unique diploma.  - Corporate social responsibility is an important element of our centre's activities, we support many events that bring valuable emotions and build positive interpersonal relationships. Therefore, we will continue to cooperate with the Special Olympics - declared President Andrzej Mochoń.   

Special Olympics are one of the three pillars of the Olympic movement in the world - next to the Olympic Games and the Paralympics, dedicated to people with intellectual disabilities. Over 5.3 million athletes representing 32 sports disciplines from over 170 countries are associated at the Special Olympics, which are officially recognised by the International Olympic Committee.
