Present day financial support for innovative solutions as well as future financial perspectives have been discussed in the course of the meeting. Cooperation between higher education institutions, and technical universities in particular with entrepreneurs who are into innovative product creation with the use of academic knowledge and scientific projects has turned out to be a hot topic.

The meeting was attended by Mrs Beata Oczkowicz – Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of National Defence, Professor Jacek Guliński – Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, Sławomir Wachowicz – Deputy President of the Polish Patent Office, Marek Szczepanik Deputy President of Polish Agency for Enterprise Development, Adam Jarubas Swietokrzyskie Voivodeship Marshal, and Łukasz Bilski, President of ŚCITT, Mariusz Goraj, ŚCITT Board Proxy as well as Andrzej Mochoń PhD, Targi Kielce President of Board.

“Place like Inno-Tech serve as a presentation platform for inventions and ideas which may inspire entrepreneurs and business people; once accepted and financed, they eventually translate into an innovative, market-ready product” – said Minister Jacek Guliński.

Sławomir Wachowicz highlighted the fact that “there is still much to do in Poland as far as the broadly defined innovativeness sector is concerned. Our country is ranked quite low at the lists of patents submitted to the patent office. Despite the fact that certain growth dynamics has been observed in recent year, it is still at the level of mere 10-20%. This is still too little. This ma stem from the fact that scientists’ patent awareness is insufficient. It worth remembering that intellectual right protection is of pivotal importance.”
