1st February marked the beginning of the 3rd edition of Omniplast – the contest of plastic processing knowledge. Following the example of previous years the contest is addressed at the PLASTPOL trade fair exhibitors.

Each of the contest participants, having previously registered, was emailed a set of questions about plastic processing technologies, features of polymer materials as well as the broadly defined plastic industry market sector in Poland and Europe.

30th April was the deadline to provide the answers. The second phase of the contest eliminations was held on the 5th May the – the best first round contestants were e-mailed with another set of questions. The time to provide the answers was much shorter this time. On 21st May the jury panel selected ten best contestants who will take part in the finals. And the finalists are (alphabetical order) : Rudolf Bagsik (Bagsik company), Wacław Kocemba (Oerlikon), Robert Kocoń (Ampacet), Jacek Kuliś (IMT Korpol), Monika Lis (Asten Group), Agnieszka Puszakowska (WW Ekochem), Tomasz Pyrek (Drewnex), Robert Redzisz (Synventive), Bartłomiej Sarna (Techplast) and Piotr Tysarczyk (Granulat).

The third phase of the contest will be a written test held in Targi Kielce centre during the first day of the 16th International Fair of Plastics and Rubber Processing PLASTPOL 2012.

The prizes are the discount coupons for exhibition space rental at the PLASTPOL 2012 – the total value of coupons is 12 thousand PLN. The coupons of 6 thousand PLN, 4 thousand PLN and 2 thousand PLN will be awarded respectively to the first, second and third prize winners.
