Van Dam has devoted the whole year to research, development and construction works focussed on cups, containers and lids printing machines which utilises the Dry Offset and Flexo technology. The new IDF technology is a combination of high-performance dry offset which maintains high quality and provides for ease of use of machines for flexo printing technology. 

The quality of colour print is controlled with the Flexo head with the anilox type roll. Thus the operator's skill no longer affect the image quality (printed area) dependent on the proper pressure. On-product print is the same quality as the PDF file project.

The colours are applied without the so-called "in-shift" (wet on wet) with the use of different viscosity inks.  In the process of printing the image is transferred from the cylinder to the product.  The final multi-colour image is achieved with the use of 7 different colour components. This method allows for implementation of various prints without the necessity to clean the printhead and introduce changes in the colours set of paints.
