The last quarter of the country has seen the Central and Eastern Europe's countries go through a long way of change and transformation. The public transport system has also thoroughly changed. Nowadays, the public transport system's most important attributes are high quality of transport services and the continuous offer enrichment. These characteristics are part of the competition for the passenger. One of the elements of the services offer enrichment is the modern information technologies utilisation. This is the way you to acquire new and satisfied passengers who use public transport services. We are at the verge of the new European Union's structural-funds financial perspective.  Numerous cities need to replace the depreciated rolling stock assets; in addition to that, these cities will also make use of cutting-edge information technologies.

Whenever the  Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS)  slogan pops out, it is  usually referred to as the tolling and ticketing system for public transport users, the new route location systems or optimisation of passenger-car journeys in the intense city congestion. The conference includes the following topics:

  •  formal and legal conditions for automatic, contactless detection systems for electronic media tickets, the issue of personal data protection and surveillance prevention in the context of comprehensive information retrieval with regards to the movements of the passengers - the bearer of the particular ticket. advantages and disadvantages of ticket-cards personalization,
