Zbigniew Boniek opened the PZPN conference “Safe Stadium”
- Poland’s stadiums are safe; there are no disturbances in the case of 99% matches. However, now we need to find an answer to the question what safety is. Matches in Poland enjoy the attendance of about 700 spectators. A statistical Pole, upon entering a stadium is a subject to too stringent restrictions; this should be liberalised without missing on safety. Cooperation of the event organisers with professional services is also of pivotal importance. This is what brings us all together here every year – said PZPN President, Zbigniew Boniek upon the opening the 13th “Safe Stadium” Conference. The opening function was also attended by the Targi Kielce Vice President Bożena Staniak and Police Commander in Chief, Senior Inspector Marek Działoszyński.
Since 2002, the “Safe Stadium” conference co-organised by Targi Kielce in conjunction with the Polish Football Association has been a permanent fixture on the trade fair calendar of events. Every year the sessions enjoy the attendance of over 400 participants. For a number of years the conference would focus upon the preparations for “UEFA EURO 2012 POLSKA”. The conference encompasses the key-importance issues of station and sports venues security, audience sector monitoring and management as well as Poland’s sports infrastructure provision and development. The conference also features the debate which bring together the whole bunch of business insiders and professionals. Representatives of the Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Justice as well as the Ministry of Sport and Recreation in addition to the Polish Football Association, the National Polish Police Headquarters as well as the Centre for Access to Football in Europe CAFE have confirmed their presence in the event.
