CHRISTMAS MEETING OF VIVE TAURON KIELCE

15 december 2014
The Congress Centre hosted the yellow-white-blue team

The team, the club personnel and a whole array of handball aficionados were brought together at the Vive Tauron Kielce's Christmas meeting held on Thursday evening in the Targi Kielce Congress Centre. The President Bertus Servaas turned out to be the most popular. The meeting gained extra splendour owing to the Christmas carols concert of the "The Voice of Poland" finalists Magdalena Paradzka.

 - It is most importantly to be a family, to be together, to appreciate our successes. I can not bear people complaining that last season we were "only" among the sixteen best clubs in Europe - said the president of the club, Bertus Servaas. - This has been the year of continuous lack of time; I even have not had time to prepare a speech. Therefore, special thanks to the Vice-Presidents Tadek Dziedzic and Marian Urban, the club director Radek Wasiak and to all the staff for members. I appreciate you have helped me carry this burden - he added.

The Bishop Marian Florczyk blessed the Christmas wafers. His Excellency stressed the role of the unity in the handball club and whole milieu. They show their solidarity in the most difficult moments, such as of the second team coach, Tomasz Strząbała's illness. He also seized the opportunity to reveal the fact that the president Servaas has just received Polish citizenship; The president had been waiting for this moment for several years. The official Polish citizenship commemoration ceremony will be held soon.

And then for several minutes everybody was giving their best wishes to other function participants (the longest queue, as usual, was waiting to say their wishes to Bertus Servaas). Everybody was then enjoying the mushroom soup with noodles, dumplings and fried carp.
