Monuments. Blended into the urban landscape, they lose their importance, become commonplace in the chaos of flashy billboards and motley mall-managed city development. John Paul II - over 700, Kościuszko - the number exceeded 200, and Mickiewicz does not complain about the lack of popularity -  Poland is the monuments powerhouse. Hardly any Poles find it a problem. However, how abour honouring a figure significant for the world, yet not a robust politician or a national bard. What if a musician is chosen? And on top of that - one who has never been associated with the destination where his figure is curved in stone? This question is answered by the creators of the film "What am I doing here? Miles Davis".  Krzysztof Zięba, Marian Wąchała, and Mateusz Wolski from the Kielce Culture Centre made a documentary full of twists and turns. Thr film features the creation of Europe's first monument devote to a famous jazz musician. Kielce is the sculptures' home.

The film was made on the tenth anniversary of Miles Davis' death.  People who sought to build the monument share their memories, too - the list includes Artur Dutkiewicz, Wojciech Lubawski, Jacek Gajewski, Jacek Jabłoński, Marzena Ślusarska, Leszek Ślusarski, Andrzej Mochoń, Grzegorz Łagowski, Krzysztof Zięba and Jakub Kowalski.

Agnieszka Kozłowska-Piast subtitled the film;  Grzegorz Cecko, Agnieszka Kozłowska-Piast, Augustyna Nowacka, Paweł Piotrowski, Izabela Sienkiel, Mateusz Stradomski, Damian Tomalik, Robert Wieczorek, and Artur Wijata were instrumental for the film creation.
