Three perspectives: economy, politics, trade

This year's conference program was built around three key areas of industry functioning: economic, political, and commercial realities. This structure allows for a comprehensive view of the challenges facing the plastics sector.

The event will begin with an official opening, featuring representatives of the organisers and the host, Targi Kielce. The opening speakers include Anna Kozera-Szałkowska, Managing Director of the PlasticsEurope Polska Foundation, and Robert Szyman, General Director of the Polish Union of Plastics Converters.

Market and industry analysis at Targi Kielce

The first session will be devoted to the current economic situation  - experts will present both the general condition of the Polish economy and a detailed analysis of the plastics market in Poland and Europe.

Speakers will include representatives of the financial sector and industry organisations, who will discuss development prospects and challenges facing the industry in the coming years, among other topics.

Regulation and the circular economy

The second part of the conference will focus on the political reality, particularly on regulations affecting the industry. One of the main topics will be the Circular Economy Act, which is crucial to transforming the sector towards a circular economy.

The panel debate will bring together representatives of European organisations, industry and public institutions. The discussion will cover the impact of regulations on companies' competitiveness and the possibilities for adapting to new requirements.

Competitiveness and raw material security

The final session will be devoted to trade realities, including competitiveness and raw material security. The focus will be on access to raw materials, the role of recycling and the impact of global market conditions on European industry.

Representatives from business, administration and industry organisations will participate in the debate, allowing for a multifaceted analysis of the problem.

Networking and industry integration
The event agenda also includes space for networking. Such elements have been an important component of the Plastics Industry Meeting for years, fostering the exchange of experiences and building business relationships.

Strategic introduction to the Plastpol trade fair

Organising the conference on the eve of the Plastpol trade fair creates a natural synergy between the strategic debate and the presentation of technologies and market solutions. Meeting participants will have the opportunity to translate the issues discussed directly into business practice over the following days of the fair.

Plastics Industry Meeting 2026 again confirms its role as a platform for dialogue in the plastics industry. In this place, the sector's development directions are shaped in a changing economic and regulatory environment.
