Speaking of Poland's Pentecostal movement it is worth noting that it dates back to the time when the Poland were partitioned and under occupation. Poland did not formally exist as a state, but there were Poles who live who welcomed new ideas, and thus became a part of the global Pentecostalism. The first Poles who experiences the Holy Spirit baptism were members of the Christian Community - a neo-Pietism fraction within Lutheran church in Śląsk Cieszyński. They were, however, excluded from the Christian Community and forced to set up the Związek Stanowczych Chrześcijan [Association of Determined Christians]. The Association was registered in 1910 in Cieszyn and thus became the first Pentecostal Church in the Poland.
