Description
The Student Scientific Association of Polymer Technology "TECH-POL" is a student organization at the Faculty of Chemistry of Gdańsk University of Technology. It was founded in 2014 under the supervision of Dr. Eng. Krzysztof Formela, university professor.
Currently, the organization operates within the Department of Polymer Technology, under the supervision of Dr. Eng. Paulina Kosmela, Dr. Eng. Ewa Głowińska, and Dr. Eng. Krzysztof Formela, university professor.

The Association aims to expand students’ knowledge, primarily in the field of polymer chemistry and processing technology, but not limited to it. We create an open space for sharing ideas and turning them into reality. Members of the "TECH-POL" Student Scientific Association of Polymer Technology also have the opportunity to participate in scientific research and present their results at seminars, conferences, and other events.
Members also take part in activities promoting the University and the Faculty, including the "Open PG" Open Day, the Baltic Science Festival, the Night of Museums, as well as demonstrations and workshops for high school students held on our Faculty’s premises.

Currently, the "TECH-POL" Association is carrying out two research projects. The results of one of them, entitled "Innovative methods for utilizing plastic recycling products to obtain sustainable polyurethane materials", carried out as part of the program Student Scientific Associations Create Innovations (project number: SKN/SP/602421/2024, Ministry of Science and Higher Education), are being presented at the current 29th International Fair of Plastics and Rubber Processing PLASTPOL.
