During the AGROTECH trade fair, KMK will present its premiere solution - the SV Optical Sorter, representing another step toward automation and intelligent production process management.
The SV Optical Sorter is designed for automated, quality-based sorting of potatoes and onions. It combines a mechanical conveying system with advanced image analysis.
The inspection process takes place on a roller conveyor that ensures continuous rotation of the product. Above the inspection zone, an optical module consisting of four high-resolution cameras operates. The rotation of vegetables under the lenses enables full 360-degree surface scanning, eliminating blind spots.
The machine software uses artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms and machine learning. The vision system analyzes images in real time, identifies defects based on a reference image database, and autonomously classifies surface anomalies, shape irregularities, and color deviations.
Products identified as defective or as foreign objects are removed from the main product stream by a module of precise pneumatic fingers (ejectors) synchronized with the vision system.

– foreign objects (stones, clods of soil)
The SV Optical Sorter increases sorting precision, ensures consistent product quality, and improves the overall efficiency of the technological line.
