Froddo was established as a small business made up of a group of shoemakers. Through mutual assistance, updating our knowledge and hard work, we have become a company with over 600 employees – today a leading footwear manufacturer in Croatia. We have grown in size, but the spirit of initial enthusiasm and solidarity has remained the same – from as far back as 1946.

Froddo produces 4.500 pairs of shoes a day. Since a man takes an average of 18,000 steps a day, and a child even more, we believe that each of these steps is our responsibility, but also our reward. Every shoe that we offer on the market is produced in an environmentally friendly way without any harmful substances and compounds such as Chromium (VI). We produce shoes that care about the environment, as well as the health of children.

Nature at the heart of Froddo
With a tradition spanning 79 years, Froddo is dedicated to crafting footwear that not only supports growing
feet but also protects our planet. Our commitment to environmental protection is evident in every step of
production – all processes are powered by 100% green energy, minimizing our ecological footprint.
Our concern for the environment and the health of children is also reflected in the materials we use. We
source leather from LWG-certified suppliers, chrome-free leather linings, and PFC-free hydrophobic
materials, ensuring our products meet high ecological standards.
Additionally, our choice of materials includes corn foam insoles and Lifolit soles, which provide enhanced
flexibility and comfort. We also use mulesing-free wool, sheepskin, leather linings, and textile linings. The
uppers of the shoes are made from nubuck, velour, and natural leather, most of which are water-repellent.
