EROWA MTS System (Modular Tooling System)
The EROWA MTS is a flexible tooling system. The maximum workpiece size depends on the size of the machine table.
Whether single palletizing with an MTS holder or multiple palletizing with multiple MTS holders or base plates is required – all combinations are possible.
Minimized setup time:
Workpieces and holders are mounted on pallets, allowing them to be placed on the machine as needed without further setup. Inside the machine, the MTS palletizing system holds them in place with precision and stability. Further work is prepared outside the machine.
The MTS system is ideal for automatic pallet changing.
After a workpiece change, the contact surfaces of the holders and clamping pins are automatically cleaned. The MTS pallets are positioned precisely and accurately on the machine table.
Integrated MTS clamps are distinguished by their following features:
• High safety standards:
In the event of a compressed air failure, the clamp and pallet remain securely clamped.
The clamping mechanism features a self-locking, spring-loaded ball lock.
• Maximum precision:
Thanks to the polished surfaces used, the clamps achieve a repeat accuracy of less than 0.003 mm.
• Durability:
Long service life and performance are achieved thanks to the use of ceramic balls. The clamps are hardened
and can easily withstand the high demands of a production environment for many years.
• Performance:
The clamps have a clamping force of up to 20 kN with a clamping force of 60 kN. The spiral springs used
ensure a uniform and high clamping force.
• Monitoring:
Integrated MTS clamps are available with presence and closing control, opening control
and a cleaning function. • Highly versatile:
MTS chucks can be mounted on base plates, machine tables, adapter pallets,
mineral cast towers. The clamps are suitable for use on milling machines, machining centers,
mill-turn machines (depending on the model), grinding and EDM machines, and process measurement machines.

The EROWA CleverClamp system is a modular and versatile workpiece clamping system suitable for single-part and small-batch production.
It is simple to operate and versatile. Setup times are reduced, machine runtime is increased, and productivity is increased.
The base rails form the foundation of the CleverClamp workpiece clamping system. They can be used horizontally or vertically.
Depending on the material and workpiece, the appropriate clamping surfaces can be selected.
The serrated clamping jaws are ideal for clamping workpieces requiring minimal clamping height.
The CleverClamp base rail can be directly automated. The robot positions the workpiece holder on the machine quickly and precisely.

Quality measurement of the highest precision.
The EROWA CMM Qi portal measuring machine provides the highest mechanical accuracy for the efficient completion of any presetting jobs, as well as quality measurements.
The measuring machine has been prepared for automatic loading and can therefore be integrated into automatic production without any problems.
Only choice components were used for the construction of the measuring machine.
The solid granite table and the specially cast portal constitute the basis for the precision of the measuring portal and the selected tooling systems.
The stable axes are moved on high-precision rails with air bearings. In combination with the centrally arranged drives, mechanical accuracy is quite remarkable even with fluctuating temperatures.
