Description
In Italy, Confindustria is the leading association representing manufacturing and service companies, with over 150,000 small, medium, and large enterprises voluntarily joining its ranks, employing a total of over 5 million workers.
The association’s mission is to support the role of businesses as the driving force behind the country’s economic, social, and civic growth. In this regard, it defines common courses of action and shares—while respecting the autonomy and influence of individual entities — its goals and initiatives with the business and financial world, national, European, and international institutions, public administration, social partners, culture and science, science and technology, politics, the media, and civil society.
Confindustria’s value system is based on a unified, coherent, and strategic representation of business interests, an associative identity grounded in the free market, the central role of entrepreneurship and the enterprise, responsibility, and sustainable development.
These values stem from the principle of legality and adherence to association rules, from responsibility as an essential element at every level (associational, entrepreneurial, and institutional), and from ethics and transparency, without which the development of healthy economic activity and a free and informed civil society is impossible.
