With Kosmek technology, it is possible to achieve almost the same clamping forces in the low-pressure range (up to 70 bar) as conventional systems in the high-pressure range (up to 350 bar), with a comparable size. The patented "high-power technology” enables higher clamping and additional holding forces. This means that hydraulic clamping devices can be replaced by pneumatic clamping devices ("oil-free machines").

Higher clamping and holding forces despite lower pressure enable the use of smaller sizes and thus better utilization of the machine room or the use of smaller and more cost-effective systems. The higher performance of the clamping elements means that fewer components can be used. The lower energy consumption reduces operating costs.

High-precision, backlash-free, torsion and bending moment stable robotic hand changers extend the areas of application of investment-intensive machines from "pick and place" - to demanding machining and assembly tasks such as deburring, screwing, press-fitting and assembly of components or assemblies, which were previously not possible without KOSMEK technology.
