HydrogenTech is a research and development startup from Krakow, working on production and development of solid oxide fuel cells. Our main potential that sets us apart from the competition are our internationally patent-protected high-temperature double sided reversible fuel cells - SOFC DFC. Hydrogen-powered DFC cells are based on an all-ceramic design with active layers integrated symmetrically on both sides - thus increasing the active surface area while reducing the cell's dimensions. The reversibility allows the cell to operate not only in electricity generation mode, but also in hydrogen production (electrolysis) mode. The invention was awarded gold medals at the Concours Lepine 2015 International Invention Fair in Paris and INTARG 2015 in Krakow, as well as the Honorary Medal of the Jury of the Taipei Invention Fair 2014.

We have production and test laboratories developed by the HydrogenTech team for testing fuel cell stacks and cell-powered systems, as well as electrolysis operation. One of these is a mobile laboratory that can be quickly delivered to any location depending on the needs of HydrogenTech or our customers.

Our team is also implementing a project co-financed by the National Research and Development Center to develop a micro combined heat and power (mCHP) generator using SOFC DFC technology for use in housing, public facilities and critical infrastructure. The device is currently in the laboratory testing phase under real-world conditions.
