Description
Energy For Life Sp. z o. o. is a company established by the Instytut Badań, Nauk Stosowanych i Nowych Technologii Sp. z o.o. (Institute of Applied Sciences and New Technologies Ltd). in order to commercialize the innovative wind generator Urban Wind Power Station (UWPS).
Energy For Life Sp. z o. o. produces Urban Wind Power Station devices with nominal powers: 5kW (UWPS-05), 10kW (UWPS-10) and 20kW (UWPS-20)
Urban Wind Power Station enables the use of air streams, including: forced by human activity in urbanized space to produce electricity. The existing urban infrastructure can be the basis for the installation.
Pilot devices were built and tested in real conditions, in several different locations as part of the LIFE (Climate Change Mitigation) program, in the LIFE-UrbanWind.PL project
Positive performance and durability tests allowed the device to be commercialized and manufactured by Energy for LIFE.
Urban Wind Power Station can work synergistically with photovoltaics, complementing prosumer installations and contributing to the development of electricity production from renewable energy sources. The possibility of such synergy based on a common automation and control system is important. It should be noted that the Urban Wind Power Station requires much less space on the roof than photovoltaics with similar nominal power and that it works day and night, on sunny and rainy days.
The UWPS device has received many awards for innovation, including: at the 60th International Construction Fair in Bielsko-Biała and at the Renewable Energy Sources Fair in Gliwice.

Urban Wind Power Station is an innovative generating set that uses natural wind and air streams to produce electricity. forced by human activity in urbanized space. The basis of the device is a vertical axis wind turbine and an innovative generator built especially for this device, which ensures its high efficiency.
Currently, devices with nominal power of 5kW (UWPS-05), 10 kW (UWPS-10) and 20kW (UWPS-20) are produced.
The existing urban infrastructure can be the basis for the installation.
UWPS can work synergistically with photovoltaics, complementing prosumer installations and contributing to the development of electricity production from renewable energy sources.

Urban Wind Power Station is composed of:
➤ internal, rotary turbine, composed of modules connected by a square shaft, the ends of which are mounted on bearings
➤ external diffusers whose panels with a special profile allow the absorption of the kinetic energy of the air stream from any direction
➤ power generation unit, i.e. generator, automation and control unit, including inverters.
➤ rope attachment to the ground
