Description
A bentonite mat (GCL) is a sealing liner containing bentonite—an absorbent aluminum phyllosilicate that swells upon contact with water. They are mainly used in applications such as landfill base sealing and capping, mining, environmental protection, and waterproofing in construction. Various types of GCL can be applied in tank storage facilities, flat roofs, basements, canals and retention reservoirs, filtration reservoirs, run-off basins, and roads passing through environmentally sensitive areas.
The cement–sand mat TILTEX consists of two interconnected geotextile layers encapsulating a specially formulated dry sand-cement mixture. It is an advanced product that can be quickly and easily shaped to achieve the desired form. When hydrated with a small amount of water, it rapidly forms a durable and rigid structure that serves as a ground structure, reinforcement, or protective layer.
The company offers solutions in the following areas:
Bentonite mat:
* Opencast mining, e.g. reclamation of excavations, sealing of tailings lagoons, diversion of watercourses, etc.,
* Construction, e.g. concrete piles and sheet piling, flat roofs, foundations, and other underground structures,
* Landfills, e.g. base sealing and capping systems,
* Hydraulic engineering, e.g. canals, dams, rivers, and reservoirs,
* Civil engineering, e.g. roads, bridges, and airports.
Cement–sand mat TILTEX:
* Renovation of existing structures,
* Protection and stabilization of slopes,
* Protection of riverbanks and riverbeds,
* Protection of watercourses,
* Lining of embankments, excavations, or culverts,
* Protection of geomembranes.
Eurobent Sp. z o.o. has two production plants: one—operating since 2008—located in Świdnica (south-western Poland), and the second—since 2015—in Xanthi (north-eastern Greece). The Greek facility is a joint venture project carried out in cooperation with Thrace Plastics.
