At Lasy Tlenowe S.A., we establish oxygen tree plantations for us and for our customers. Thanks to the amazing characteristics of these plants, we harvest high-quality, valuable wood after just 6 years. After cutting, oxygen trees grow back from the trunk even faster! In 20 years we are able to harvest wood from each tree up to 4 times.
We have been in Poland since 2015 (previously known as Oxytree). During this time we have established about 200 oxygen trees plantations on an area of almost 900 hectares. Last year we cut down the first plantation in Poland. When it comes to growing oxygen trees, we are a leader - both in terms of experience, research conducted and recognition in the industry.
During our 8 years of operation, we have established scientific partnerships with many Polish universities, donated our wood and seedlings for the most various researches, and supported many initiatives related to the popularization of oxygen trees in the country.
The Polish market currently lacks about 4 million cubic meters of wood per year. And it will be in increasing - Poland is among the world's leading furniture manufacturers, we are replacing more and more plastic items with wooden and paper ones. The demand for wood is growing, and at the same time the European Union is introducing more and more restrictions on logging. This is pushing up the price of wood.
The market situation shows that wood is a desirable and valuable material. We know this, so our company's goal is to supply as much quality material as possible.
Oxygen tree plantation allows you to earn not only on wood, but also on green certificates! Each hectare of such a plantation absorbs as much as 111 tons of carbon dioxide per year.
