The strategic partnership between the PLASTPOL trade fair and PlastiVision India is forging new opportunities for commercial, technological, and industrial cooperation between Europe and India, while reinforcing business networks across both regions' plastics processing sectors.

Speaking at the Plastpol 2026 expo, Jayesh Rambhia, Honorary Chairman of PlastiVision India, hailed the partnership as a breakthrough milestone for industrial relations between the European Union and India. The agreement will open the way for European companies to enter the Indian market thanks to their participation in the Plastivision India 2027 trade fair.  PlastiVision India 2027—widely recognised as one of the largest exhibitions of its kind globally. Key Indian plastics manufacturers and processors will showcase their portfolios in a dedicated Indian Zone during PLASTPOL 2027 at Targi Kielce, an initiative designed to bolster industrial cooperation and unlock fresh business opportunities within the European market. Plastpol strengthens its grip on the global plastics industry

As noted by Karl Jorg, President of the Global Plastics Association, this agreement underscores Poland's rising prominence as a strategic manufacturing and technological hub in Europe. "Through the international platform of PLASTPOL, Poland is consistently cementing its role as a bridge connecting European innovation with the rapidly accelerating economies of Asia," he stated.

This collaboration arrives at a particularly critical juncture for the plastics and recycling sectors. Europe is currently seeking robust industrial partnerships centered around sustainability, the circular economy, advanced automation, and the establishment of resilient supply chains.

The significance of this alliance is further amplified by broader economic relations between the European Union and India. Free trade agreement negotiations concluded on January 27, 2026. Following the completion of mandatory legal procedures, the historic pact is poised to facilitate seamless market access for businesses tapping into a combined consumer base of approximately two billion people.

New horizons for machinery manufacturers, processors, and tech providers

The Indian market presents lucrative opportunities for European manufacturers of plastics processing machinery, molds, tooling, automation systems, recycling technologies, and materials driving the circular economy. "Europe's advanced technology and innovation, combined with India's immense scale, growth dynamics, and manufacturing capabilities, lay the foundation for a powerhouse industrial partnership. The PLASTPOL–PlastiVision synergy carves out an ideal landscape for long-term business expansion between Europe and India," emphasizes Ginu Joseph, Editor-in-Chief of Modern Plastics India and Modern Plastics TV.

Fusing European know-how with India's manufacturing infrastructure and surging domestic market is expected to deliver substantial results across sectors such as packaging, automotive, infrastructure, agriculture, medical devices, and consumer goods production.
