Ethiopia’s Mamay Group Visits Targi Kielce: Export and Agrotech 2027 Under the Spotlight

25 June 2026
The export of Polish agricultural machinery, fertilisers, and agri-food products to Ethiopia was the main theme of a meeting between representatives of the Mamay Group and leaders of the Polish agricultural sector at Targi Kielce. The African delegation also declared its participation in the Agrotech trade fair and the Agro Africa B2B Forum in March 2027.

Mamay Group is a rapidly growing Ethiopian business cluster operating in agricultural technology and international trade across Africa. The company imports agricultural machinery and drives the export of food products from Ethiopia to international markets. On Wednesday, June 24, representatives of the group arrived at Targi Kielce to discuss the Agrotech fair and to meet with entrepreneurs and institutions supporting the development of foreign trade.

The President of Targi Kielce, Dr Andrzej Mochoń, emphasised that the Agrotech agricultural technology fair has, for years, been the place where manufacturers, distributors, and buyers from all over the world connect. "Agrotech is the perfect venue for selecting agricultural machinery and farming inputs. Over three days, visitors have access to the portfolio of over 500 exhibitors from 21 countries. New business contacts, including international ones, are forged during every single edition," noted President Andrzej Mochoń. "The premiere business event for African entrepreneurs and Polish machinery manufacturers, the Agro Africa B2B Forum in March 2026, resulted in 39 partnership and cooperation agreements, and the first machines went straight from Targi Kielce to Africa."

Mamay Group representatives admitted that Targi Kielce is an essential platform for them to build business relationships and source commercial partners, and they have already declared their attendance at the Agrotech fair. The group has also become an official partner of the Agro Africa B2B Forum.

Ethiopia is interested in Polish Machinery

One of the primary talking points was the supply of Polish agricultural machinery to Ethiopia. Wednesday’s meeting was attended by a representative of the Kisiel company from Górno—an exhibitor at Agrotech and a distributor of Case IH and Steyr tractors—with whom opportunities for cooperation were discussed. A vital element of the meetings was talks with representatives of Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego (BGK) about financial instruments supporting export and import initiatives.

Concrete Talks, Initial Agreements with African Entrepreneurs

Marcin Obałek, Vice President of the Polish-African Chamber of Commerce, was heavily involved in organising the meetings. "Entrepreneurs from Africa are keenly interested in Polish agricultural machinery, fertilisers, and food products. At the same time, they want to offer their own products—vegetables, fruits, coffee, or teff flour—to Polish buyers. The talks we have been conducting for the past few days in various parts of Poland are highly concrete. Business owners are already signing cooperation agreements, including those for machinery deliveries. The next stage will be meetings during Agrotech and Mamay Group’s participation in the Agro Africa B2B Forum," says Marcin Obałek.

The upcoming edition of the Agrotech International Fair of Agricultural Techniques—Central Europe’s largest indoor agricultural technology event held in exhibition halls—will take place from March 12 to 14, 2027, at Targi Kielce. The Agro Africa B2B Forum is scheduled for March 13, bringing together manufacturers of agricultural machinery, fertilisers, farming inputs, and food from Poland with African partners interested in establishing and developing long-term commercial cooperation.
