Art Zone at Sacroexpo. "Life is Beautiful" and contemporary sacred art delight visitors

15 June 2026
Art, spirituality and reflection on the beauty of life come together in the unique Art Zone during this year's Sacroexpo exhibition. Among the highlights of the exhibition programme are the international exhibition “Life Is Beautiful”, organised by the Slovak ARTEM Association, and the Art in House exhibition, presenting a contemporary interpretation of religious art.

"Life is Beautiful" – Art as an Affirmation of Life

The "Life is Beautiful" exhibition presents works by artists from diverse backgrounds and generations, united by a shared reflection on the value of human life, the beauty of everyday life, and the spiritual dimension of existence. The exhibition features works by  Simona Drakulova, Svitlana Dudenko, Domi Gabriel, Pavol Hammel, Waltraut Chimani, Eva Ježišková Láskova, Monika Kulhavej, Michaela Lukmann, Ivana Máleková, Silvia Petrová, Romana Schmitová and Michal Straška, to name a few.

The paintings and artistic works encourage us to stop for a moment and look at the world from a perspective of goodness, hope and gratitude. The exhibition fits perfectly with the idea of Sacroexpo, which for years has shown that art can be an important tool for dialogue, building sensitivity, and discovering spiritual values.

Modern religious art in the Art Zone

The second important part of the Art Zone is the exhibition prepared by the Art in House Auction House, which once again co-creates Sacroexpo’s artistic program. This year's exhibition shows how contemporary artists interpret religious themes, combining centuries-old Christian tradition with the modern language of art.

Visitors can see the works of four renowned artists:

  • Teresa Pastuszki-Kowalska and Dariusz Kowalski – authors of monumental sacred works and bronze sculptures,
  • Joanna Mieszko, who presents the most important Polish churches in a distinctive style, enriching the architectural views with numerous details and narrative elements,
  • Aleksandra Elizabethe Wojtysiak, who creates modern, symbolic images of the Mother of God, combining minimalist aesthetics with golden details and a contemporary interpretation of Marian iconography.

The exhibition shows that sacred art is not confined to historical forms.   On the contrary, it continues to inspire creators who, through new means of expression, engage in dialogue with spirituality and the contemporary audience.

The space where art and spirituality meet

The Art Zone at Sacroexpo 2026 is a unique meeting place for artists, collectors, clergy and all art lovers.  The exhibitions presented here showcase the diversity of contemporary artistic explorations – from reflective paintings and sculptures to modern interpretations of religious themes and universal values.

All works can be viewed during the 27th International Exhibition of Church Construction, Church Fittings and Furnishings and Religious, which takes place at Targi Kielce from 15 to 17 June 2026. This is an excellent opportunity to see how contemporary art can tell the story of faith, humanity and the beauty of life.
