The Additive Manufacturing and Materials (AM&M) Research Team is based at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of Wroclaw University of Science and Technology and is an interdisciplinary research group that includes specialists in manufacturing techniques, materials science, design, and measurement methods.
Our core competencies include the application of additive technologies for the manufacture of customized components and fully functional parts with complex internal and external structures, including components designed to operate in harsh (thermal, mechanical, and corrosive) operating conditions.
The activities of the Team include the realization of a wide range of scientific and implementation projects at the national and international level, both independently and in cooperation with partners within consortia. The AM&M Team disseminates the acquired knowledge through publications in renowned scientific journals, patent applications, and implementation of the developed solutions in industrial practice.
The AM&M Team conducts research and development projects to control the material and mechanical properties of a wide range of engineering materials, such as ceramics, polymers, metals, and superalloys. These materials are intended for applications in various industrial sectors, including automotive, aerospace, medical, and energy, and are produced using additive techniques such as PBF, MEX, and VP.
