Description
Born from firsthand experience with the frustrations of traditional extraction, HiveKeepers has developed a modern honey harvesting system built for today’s beekeeper. Our reusable cassette frames and compact harvester remove the need for uncapping knives, filtering, settling tanks, and bulky stainless steel extraction equipment. The result is a contained, efficient system that allows honey to be harvested directly from the hive in small, manageable amounts.
For recreational and small-scale beekeepers, HiveKeepers makes harvesting easy to fit into a normal hive inspection. Instead of planning a full extraction day, you can harvest one cassette at a time as it becomes ready. There is minimal setup and less than a minute of cleanup, leaving more time to focus on caring for your bees.
For commercial producers, HiveKeepers opens new opportunities. The system enables micro-harvesting of high-quality, specialty honey that can be positioned as premium, traceable, and transparently produced. Rather than replacing bulk extraction infrastructure, HiveKeepers creates an additional pathway to market, particularly for boutique, varietal, or single-origin honey experiences.
For retailers and distributors, HiveKeepers turns honey harvesting into a live, engaging demonstration. Honey can be harvested in front of customers at markets, in-store activations, farm gates, and events. Seeing honey flow directly from the cassette builds trust, differentiates products at the point of sale, and supports premium positioning through transparency and provenance.
For educators and community groups, the system provides a clear and visual way to demonstrate how honey moves from hive to jar. Because the process is compact and contained, it can be used in schools, clubs, and training environments without the need for large extraction spaces.
Beyond established markets, HiveKeepers also offers potential for emerging honey-producing regions. By reducing infrastructure requirements and simplifying harvesting, it lowers barriers to entry and supports small producers in building income directly from their hives, strengthening farm livelihoods and workforce participation.
At its core, HiveKeepers is about more than equipment. It is about restoring trust in honey. By reducing handling steps and keeping the process visible and controlled, we contribute to a more transparent and accountable honey supply chain.
At Expo2Bee, we look forward to connecting with the European beekeeping community, demonstrating the system in action, and exploring partnerships across retail, distribution, commercial production, and education.
