ALVO® Ultra V-bot is an autonomous, innovative device for bio-decontamination using UV-C light, with proven technology to reduce biological contamination of the surfaces. UV-C radiators emit light with a wavelength of 254 nm which penetrates the cell wall of microorganisms and damages their DNA. This way it eliminates colonies of bacteria, viruses, fungi, and yeasts. The robot is equipped with sensors and a scanner that creates a virtual map of the scanned area. The process of disinfection is activated by the operator remotely, from a tablet, after he has safely left the room who is never exposed to ultraviolet light. Due to the built-in safety system and autonomous navigation, the robot detects all obstacles and moves safely in the selected room. ALVO® Ultra V-Bot is controlled by an application available on the tablet which is included with the robot. The communication between tablet and robot is via Wi-Fi. The operating room may be decontaminated within around 20 min. (depending on size) The robot is effective in vital high-capacity areas such as emergency departments, intensive care units, gyms, schools, hotels, cinemas, warehouses, airport and waiting areas.
