The New Infrastructure Expo - the discussion platform on modern bicycle paths

The meeting on "Comfortable and durable bicycle routes in Poland and around the world - from concept to implementation" was organised at Targi Kielce by the Polish Asphalt Pavement Association.

The meeting started with the presentation of "Comprehensive construction of a network of bicycle routes and UTO facilities in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship" delivered by Waldemar Królikowski, Director of the Olsztyn Voivodeship Roads Management. Then an expert from the Road and Bridge Research Institute took the floor -  Professor Engineer, PhD. Hab of IBDiM, Wojciech Bańkowski presented "Asphalt roads for bicycles - from design to execution". The safety aspect in the light of technical and construction regulations was discussed by MSc. Karolina Jesionkiewicz-Niedzińska, of Warsaw University of Technology. There was also a voice from activists - the presentation "Infrastructure for active mobility as a key to sustainable urban development" was presented by Roger Jackowski from the Bicycle Metropolis Association.
